- The Role: An experienced Full Stack Engineer II to design and build Java-based API-first enterprise applications and integrate GenAI tools to accelerate development.
- The Person: Design and build backend services and frontend integrations, develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implement CI/CD pipelines, work with large-scale datasets and microservices architectures, and leverage GenAI tools to accelerate delivery.

Job Description
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer II to design and build scalable, enterprise-grade applications using Java, API-first architecture, and GenAI-powered development practices. This role focuses on building high-performance backend services and modern frontend integrations while leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain full stack applications (backend + frontend) using Java and modern frameworks
- Develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL services for enterprise-scale systems
- Design API-first, microservices-based architectures
- Work with large-scale datasets and Big Data querying techniques
- Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and improve productivity
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Develop reusable, modular components aligned with enterprise standards
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security across applications
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Required Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks
- Familiarity with reactive programming (Vert.x or similar)
- Experience in microservices and distributed systems
- Exposure to enterprise-scale environments
- Prior American Express experience is a plus
