RoleÂ
Splunk Solutions Engineers are responsible for the technical elements of the sales cycle, enabling our prospects and customers to understand how Splunk can meet their requirements and becoming their trusted advisor. Â
As a Solutions Engineering Intern you will be based at the location specified in your contract of employment. Â
Over the course of your internship you will gain Splunk skills, some Splunk Certifications and develop a broader domain knowledge of Sales, Solutions Engineering and Splunk’s technology and use cases that will give you a detailed understanding of the Solutions Engineering role and enable you to decide if a career in Solutions Engineering is right for you. Â
Key areas of the Solutions Engineering role that you will gain exposure to includeÂ

Delivering standardised technical product webinarsÂ

Undertaking technical discovery calls/conversations with prospects to discover and/or validate sales opportunitiesÂ

Delivering consultative presentations, demonstrations and workshops to help prospects understand how Splunk addresses their technical and business requirements, and how it differs from alternative solutionsÂ

How Solutions Engineers own the technical strategy for opportunities they work onÂ

How we determine the most appropriate form of Solution Validation for our opportunities and manage them to a successful outcomeÂ

Creating custom demonstrations based on customer use-cases and/or data to demonstrate Splunk’s ability to meet their requirementsÂ

Responding to the technical elements of tenders (RFI/RFPs) where sales and technical management have determined it is appropriate to make a responseÂ

Answering technical questions from prospects and customersÂ

Making general recommendations on Splunk solutions architectureÂ
