Job Description
As a Senior iOS Developer, you will be responsible for architecting and building high-performance, premium mobile applications for the Apple ecosystem. You will lead the technical direction of our iOS projects, ensuring that our apps are not only functional but also provide a fluid, native user experience. Your expertise in Swift and modern iOS frameworks will be vital as you mentor junior developers and collaborate with designers to push the boundaries of what’s possible on mobile.
Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable mobile architectures (such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or VIPER).
- Development: Write clean, high-quality Swift code to build complex features and delightful user interfaces using UIKit or SwiftUI.
- Performance Tuning: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and UI glitches to ensure a smooth, responsive user experience.
- Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX designers to implement pixel-perfect designs and with Backend Engineers to define and integrate robust RESTful APIs.
- Quality & Mentorship: Drive code review processes, maintain high unit test coverage, and mentor mid-level/junior developers to elevate the team's technical standards.
- App Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end app submission process, including managing certificates, provisioning profiles, and App Store Connect releases.
Requirements:
- Experience in iOS development with a deep understanding of the iOS SDK and Apple’s design principles.
- Swift Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Swift and familiarity with asynchronous programming (Combine, Swift Concurrency/Async-Await).
- Persistence & Networking: Extensive experience with local storage (Core Data, Realm) and complex API integrations using URLSession or Alamofire.
- Testing: Strong commitment to quality through unit testing (XCTest) and UI testing.
- Workflow Tools: Expert knowledge of Git, CocoaPods/Swift Package Manager, and project management tools like JIRA.
- Language: Advanced English proficiency (fluent verbal and written communication).
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Objective-C: Familiarity with legacy codebases written in Objective-C.
- CI/CD for Mobile: Experience with automated build and deployment tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or Xcode Cloud.
- Modern UI: Practical experience transitioning from UIKit to SwiftUI in a production environment.
- Reactive Programming: Knowledge of RxSwift or other reactive frameworks.
- Product Mindset: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with a focus on user-centric product development.
