  • The Role: Provide on-site installation, commissioning and maintenance of Winbro laser, EDM and ECM machinery for customers in high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • The Person: Identify and resolve machine breakdowns, perform installation, commissioning and preventive and reactive maintenance, execute firmware/software updates and produce maintenance records and reports while supporting customers and internal teams.
  • Requirements: Skilled electrical and mechanical engineer with demonstrable experience of maintaining, installing and repairing complex equipment and previous working experience with CNC machinery and a valid drivers license and ability to speak English and Chinese.

Job Description

Our technology is capable of producing highly complex micro parts to micron level accuracies, creating a revolution in personalised drug delivery and medical care. Our equipment can produce highly complex semiconductor parts, enabling next level efficiencies in electronics manufacturing.

JOIN US as a Site Service Engineer based out of one of our key customer sites, and we can offer you an opportunity to work in a high-tech, specialist company working with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy.

This role will be based at Taoyuan after six months initial training at our manufacturing facility at Dajia, Taichung City.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the prompt identification and resolution of Winbro manufactured machinery issues and breakdowns to ensure effective right first-time repair with a high level of customer service, always.
  • Provide technical customer service and support during the installation, commissioning and servicing of Winbro manufactured machinery along with associated support equipment.
  • Maintain, service and commission EDM, ECM and laser machine tools utilizing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and high-pressure water systems troubleshooting skills.
  • Install and commission technical upgrade packages from mechanical, pneumatic and electrical drawings along with software & firmware updates of required components.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing preventive and reactive maintenance at customer site along with timely response to service requests.
  • Provide technical support and service training both internally and externally while maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement effort and the support of multiple teams.
  • Create accurate completion of written and PC based maintenance records
  • Provide periodic reports to management including customer complaints, trends, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Additional responsibilities include customer relationship management, written documentation of service activities, and effective interaction and communication with internal technical support personnel, manufacturing and sales.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a skilled electrical and mechanical engineer with demonstrable experience of maintaining, installing and repairing complex equipment. Previous working experience with CNC machinery is ideal. The candidate must have a valid drivers license and be able to speak both English and Chinese.

Training:

Training will initially be provided at the Winbro site in Dajia. Some travel for advance training may be required. Training will include review of Winbro drawings and procedures that cover testing, installation and commissioning machines, water plants and the assembly/maintenance of tooling.
