  • The Role: Provide administrative and project support to a data centre project team, assisting with document management, stakeholder and vendor coordination, onboarding and site access tasks.
  • The Person: Support project teams with administration and reporting, manage stakeholder and vendor communication, coordinate site access and inductions, oversee onboarding, and arrange travel and accommodation for team members.
  • Requirements: At least 3 years' experience in construction or related sectors, excellent English, affinity for IT systems with hands-on experience using document management platforms, and understanding of accounts and invoicing processes.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Nordics area we are currently recruiting for a Project Assistant to support our Data Centre team on-site in Oulu, Finland. 

This is a unique opportunity to join a team of construction experts and help deliver an exciting project for a major global client.

Responsibilities:

  •  Act as a key interface and deliver general project management support to project management teams across day‑to‑day activities and project workflows
  • Assist with general project administration, document management and project reporting
  • Manage communication with stakeholders and vendors
  • Coordinate issuance of contractor badges or contractor visitor badges for site access
  • Support vendors and client team with site inductions
  • Oversee the onboarding of new team members on-site, ensuring all access, safety, and administrative requirements are met
  • Support travel and accommodation arrangements for team members

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ plus experience preferably in the construction, building, engineering or related sector
  • Strong organizational skills, must be able to multi-task efficiently 
  • Excellent English skills; Finnish language proficiency will be hugely beneficial
  • Affinity for IT systems, ideally with hands‑on experience using document management platforms
  • Solid understanding of accounts and invoicing processes
  • Ability to handle a broad range of tasks, from routine administrative duties to more complex responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Adaptable to competing demands and shifting priorities
  • Willingness to take ownership of diverse tasks and responsibilities
  • Availability for on-site work
