About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Community Engagement Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and community inclusion.
In this role, you will provide one-on-one support while helping individuals build daily living, communication, and social skills through meaningful community activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support in community settings.
- Assist individuals in developing independence and life skills.
- Support participation in recreational, educational, and social activities.
- Encourage community integration and positive social interactions.
- Ensure the individual's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Complete required documentation and progress notes accurately and on time.
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and compassionate.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
