DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Customer Analytics team in Stockholm. You are a product-minded engineer who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that empowers developers and delights customers. You have a strong sense of ownership and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your work has meaningful impact.

The team is new, which means real ownership and the chance to shape how we build from the ground up.

Tech Stack: Node.js, TypeScript, Kafka, AWS

You will:

• Design, develop, and maintain production backend systems
• Build scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure
• Contribute to system design decisions and distributed systems architecture
• Improve performance, observability, and reliability of core systems
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams
• Participate in DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, cloud deployments)
   

REQUIREMENTS
You should have:

• Professional experience building and operating production backend systems
• Strong interest in system design, high availability, and distributed systems
• Solid programming experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases
• Experience with message queues/event streaming (e.g., Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with performance tuning and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Datadog)
• Experience with AWS
• Fluent in English
   

It's a plus if you also have:

• Experience working at a product-focused company, with an understanding of how engineering drives customer experience
• Experience with GCP
• Frontend experience (e.g., React) and comfort working full-stack
• Experience with performance, load, and reliability testing
   

Salary
The monthly salary for this position is between 43,800 SEK - 54,750 SEK. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
