Impact Scale is seeking to hire a Senior PHP Developerto join our team to enhance, maintain, and scale our flagship communications platform — a mission-critical system that delivers reliable, high-speed communication at scale.

Responsibilities:

Work with the existing team to understand project requirements and plug into our workflow.

Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and QA to roll out new features and improve system stability.

Build and improve backend features in PHP (Laravel preferred)

Optimize message delivery pipelines, database queries, and API calls for speed and reliability.

Maintain integrations with carrier APIs, third-party services, and internal microservices.

Design and optimize MySQL schemas for large datasets with high transaction rates.

Improve caching, queuing, and load-balancing strategies to handle millions of daily requests.

Write clean, testable code with strong error handling and fault-tolerant design.

Provide guidance to junior developers and participate in peer code reviews.
Qualifications/Skills:
-
5+ years of PHP development experience, preferably in Laravel.

3+ years in SQL, query optimization, and data modeling.

Experience in a similar high load project or platform

Advanced understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, RESTful API development, Ribbit MQ.

Git, Jira, Docker familiarity preferred.

Speak Ukrainian or Russian fluently
