Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Engineer to drive large-scale workload migrations to GCP for our federal clients. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and deploying secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure to support mission-critical workloads.
The work you'll do:
- Design, deploy, and manage GCP foundational components, including BigQuery, Secret Manager, Vertex AI, VPCs, Cloud Storage, and/or Cloud IAM.
- Execute large scale data migrations to GCP using industry best practices and migration tools (e.g., Migrate for Compute Engine).
- Implement secure cloud architectures that comply with federal cloud computing security requirements and Zero Trust principles.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot migration issues, and optimize costs.
Here's what you'll need:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years focused hands-on with Google Cloud Platform.
- Proven experience executing cloud migrations (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
Bonus points if you have:
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification.
- Prior experience working on federal or DoD cloud migration projects.
Security clearance:
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Interim TS security clearance is required.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
