  • The Role:This role is for an IT systems administrator focused on security-critical infrastructure and protected network environments.
  • The Person:The person will administer and monitor client and server systems, install and configure IT components, apply updates and hardening measures, manage user and access rights, and document systems for compliance.
  • Requirements:The ideal candidate has several years of experience in Windows environments, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, storage, backup, virtualization and IT security.

About the role

Your role

  • Administration and operation of security-critical IT infrastructures within an isolated network
  • Setup, maintenance, and monitoring of client and server systems, with a particular focus on information security
  • Installation and configuration of IT components, preferably BSI-approved hardware (e.g. firewalls, network components, and specialized clients)
  • Execution of system and security updates on network-isolated systems, including the use of physical data transfer media
  • Implementation of technical hardening measures to protect the system environment against unauthorized access
  • Management of user and access rights concepts within protected network areas
  • Documentation of technical systems in accordance with internal and external security and compliance requirements
  • Collaboration with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • The position is primarily site-based. Occasional short on-site assignments at other locations in Germany may be required.

Your qualifications & knowledge

  • Completed vocational training or a degree in IT (e.g. IT Specialist for System Integration, Computer Science) or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in administering Windows environments, as well as in the areas of Active Directory, networking, firewalls, storage, and backup
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies, virtualization, and IT security, including experience with security-related tools and solutions
  • Fluent German, both written and spoken (native level or equivalent), as well as good command of English
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
