- The Role:This role is for a full-stack engineer focused on growth and conversion for a home energy product in Germany.
- The Person:The person will improve conversion surfaces, run A/B tests, ship changes across the stack, build test infrastructure, and expand Hubspot integrations, internal APIs, and backend systems.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate has more than 2 years of experience building full-stack web apps with React, TypeScript, Supabase and Vercel, plus experience integrating APIs and third-party systems, and Hubspot integrations.
About the role
Your Mission
We lower electricity bills for over 10.000 home owners in Germany. Thousands of batteries, EVs and heatpumps use energy when it is cheap, saving their owners money and helping the grid.
As a product engineer on the growth team, your goal is to turn visitors on our website and landing pages into customers in the most effective way. We are doubling our lead volume and sales capacity every month for the next few months. You build and own the whole tech-stack for that growth. That means fast iterations and A/B testing on conversion surfaces, as well as building what matters for scale and integrating it with the existing tech infrastructure.
You are the first technical hire within the growth team. In your day-to-day, you work with a performance marketer, Growth PM and sales lead. You report directly to the CTO and are a part of an experienced tech-team to support you with larger decisions and integration of existing infrastructure. Different from a normal engineer, you do not only ask "How should we build it", but also "Why should we build it".
Your Key Responsibilities
Customer Conversion
- You work with the growth PM and identify the right levers to prioritize.
- You ship changes across the entire stack with high velocity (React, Supabase, Vercel).
- You build and expand the infrastructure to run tests and make data-driven decisions (Posthog).
- You do not wait for perfect requirements and fix what's broken yourself.
- You work according to technical standards of the tech team and with their code reviews.
- You expand and maintain Hubspot integrations, internal APIs and the backend.
- You build a backend that works for scale, deciding what to connect to out core systems and what to scale separately.
Your Profile
Experience:
- You have > 2 years experience building full-stack web apps of your own and are comfortable working across the stack with React, TypeScript and a modern serverless stack (Supabase,Vercel).
- You have experience integrating APIs and third-party systems, keeping data transfers between frontend, backend, CRM and internal services stable and secure.
- Plus: You have built end-customer-facing web applications that keep up with growth
Who you are:
- You hold a high bar on backend and integrations, knowing when speed wins and when cleanliness matters
- You measure your success in outcomes - conversion rates, not tickets
- You are proactive and comfortable making decisions on your own
Our Offer
Responsibility from day one
- You are the first dedicated enginering capacity on the growth team. The product is yours to own and shape
- Your work has the most measurable impact on the trajectory of the company: New customers
You make decisions
- You don't just execute, but make decisions yourself within a small team
- No hierarchies, direct collaboration with marketing, growth PM, sales and tech
- On backend and integrations, the tech-team supports you with fast reviews to ensure quality as we grow
Spot Experience
- Competitive pay-package
- Great office in Berlin-Mitte with people who want to build and spend time together
- Team-events that are fun, Urban Sports Club, Jobrad, etc..
