About the Role
This is a full-stack engineering role at an early-stage enterprise AI platform, where you will own features end-to-end and have a direct hand in shaping product and architecture decisions. You will work across the full stack, from backend APIs and database design to frontend integration, on a product that helps organizations roll out AI safely and at scale.
What You'll Do

Design and implement robust backend systems and APIs to power an AI platform built on Node.js.

Build end-to-end solutions spanning backend logic, database layers, and frontend integration.

Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models for performance and scalability.

Implement API endpoints and integrate with third-party services and AI/ML providers.

Collaborate on technical architecture decisions and system design with the wider engineering team.

Maintain and improve the codebase for reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

Participate in regular support engineer rotations, assisting customers and the customer support team.
What We're Looking For

3 or more years of full-stack web development experience, with genuine depth on both frontend and backend.

Strong, hands-on TypeScript proficiency across the full stack (this is a firm requirement).

Solid experience with Node.js, React/Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.

Proficiency with PostgreSQL: data modeling, querying, and query optimization.

Experience owning features from conception through to production deployment.

Experience building AI-powered features or integrating AI/ML services into applications.

Strong CS fundamentals and system design instincts.

Clear communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working closely with product leadership.

Willingness to participate in customer-facing support engineer rotations.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: 66,000 to 120,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is available for candidates relocating to Berlin.
Location
On-site in Berlin, Germany. This is not a remote role.
