Position Summary

The Account Services Analyst serves as a strategic operational partner responsible for managing complex client and business issues that require advanced analysis, cross-functional coordination, and end-to-end ownership. This role acts as the primary point of accountability for resolving issues affecting client operations, service delivery, regulatory requirements, and business outcomes.

The Account Services Analyst is responsible for leading multifaceted issues through investigation, stakeholder engagement, root cause analysis, and implementation of sustainable solutions. The role requires independent decision-making, critical thinking, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence teams across the organization to achieve positive client outcomes. This role is primarily operational and service-focused, supporting account performance, issue resolution, and Plan execution behind the scenes, with targeted client and Aetna interaction as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned account activities, ensuring efficient execution of client deliverables and service expectations.
  • Analyze reporting data to validate alignment with client intent and plan setup, identifying trends and discrepancies.
  • Resolve client and member-level issues by coordinating with internal teams and applying strategic problem-solving.
  • Consult with internal partners to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and maintain CMS compliance for Medicare accounts.
  • Monitor account performance and contribute to centralized support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal departments to ensure transparency and alignment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in account management, customer service, healthcare administration, or relevant business environment.
  • Experience managing complex issues, escalations, or cross-functional initiatives with demonstrated ownership and accountability for outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of healthcare, health insurance, or pharmacy benefit management, Medicare, Medicaid, or other government-sponsored healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, health insurance, or pharmacy benefit management. (Commercial)
  • Understanding of CMS regulations, compliance requirements, and healthcare operational processes.
  • Experience with case management, issue management, CRM, or workflow management systems such as Salesforce.

Education

  • HS Diploma/GED and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate degree or relevant work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $76,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
