About the role
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you will identify cost savings opportunities across a wide range of packaging products while supporting new product development and quality improvement initiatives for Conagra’s packaging portfolio in Omaha, Nebraska. You will work on the MVP Team within Research & Development and help deliver packaging solutions through experimentation, testing, prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional partners.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities

Support the technical delivery of base business initiatives and project work, including independently managing smaller projects.

Identify and evaluate packaging cost savings opportunities across multiple product categories.

Participate in and complete packaging experiments and plant trials.

Analyze results and present findings through written and oral technical reports.

Manage and maintain technical specifications.

Support new product development and packaging quality improvement projects.

Acquire and apply knowledge of packaging principles, materials, equipment, and operating systems.

Partner with internal teams to develop, test, and implement packaging solutions.

Stay informed on technical trends and developments within the packaging industry.

Support projects while maintaining awareness of budgets and team strategic objectives.
Ingredients Required for Your Success

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, or a related field.

1+ year of experience in the packaging or engineering industry, or relevant internship experience.

Experience with packaging materials, packaging capabilities, and packaging equipment.

Knowledge of packaging testing methodologies.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience presenting technical findings and recommendations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Interest in packaging innovation, continuous improvement, and cost optimization.
Physical Requirements

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation
Pay Range:$59,000-$79,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
