Who we are looking for
We are seeking a AI Engineer, Assitant-Vice President to join State Street. This role focuses on the hands-on development and delivery of production-grade AI solutions that enable automation, insight generation, and scalable intelligence across enterprise platforms.
This is a technical, build-focused role requiring strong expertise in Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), machine learning, and modern AI engineering frameworks. You will partner with business, data, and platform teams to deliver AI systems that are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
What you will be responsible for
AI Engineering & DevelopmentÂ
- Design, build, and deploy production AI and ML solutionsÂ
- Develop LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering and inference workflowsÂ
- Build RAG pipelines using structured and unstructured enterprise dataÂ
- Implement embeddings, semantic search, and vector-based retrievalÂ
- Develop agent-based and multi-step AI workflowsÂ
Production Delivery & OperationsÂ
- Build and maintain AI services and APIs for enterprise useÂ
- Implement MLOps / LLMOps practices, including: Â
- Model deployment, versioning, and monitoringÂ
- Evaluation, logging, and rollback strategiesÂ
- Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiencyÂ
- Integrate AI solutions with Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)Â
Data & IntegrationÂ
- Ensure data readiness for AI use cases (quality, access, transformation)Â
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data platforms and APIsÂ
- Partner with data teams to support AI-driven pipelines and workflowsÂ
Governance & Risk Â
- Implement controls for data privacy, security, and model reliabilityÂ
- Apply techniques for validation, explainability, and hallucination mitigationÂ
- Align with enterprise standards for compliance and auditabilityÂ
Use Case DeliveryÂ
- Translate business problems into deployable AI solutionsÂ
- Deliver use cases such as:Â Â
- Intelligent document processingÂ
- AI copilots for operations and analyticsÂ
- Data-driven insights for markets and corporate functionsÂ

- Strong programming skills in PythonÂ

- Hands-on experience with: LLMs and prompt engineering, RAG pipelines and embeddings, Vector search and retrieval systemsÂ
- Experience building agent-based AI workflowsÂ
AI Platforms &Â MLOpsÂ
- Experience with platforms such as Databricks, Azure AI, or AWS AI servicesÂ
- Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps, including deployment and monitoringÂ
- Ability to optimize systems for latency, scale, and costÂ
Data & Systems KnowledgeÂ
- Understanding of data engineering concepts and distributed systemsÂ
- Ability to integrate AI systems with enterprise data platforms and APIsÂ
Enterprise & CollaborationÂ
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environmentsÂ
- Ability to translate business needs into practical AI solutionsÂ
- Strong collaboration and communication skillsÂ
Education&Other
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.
- Min. 8-10 years of relatable experience including 3+ years in AI/ML/Generative AI
Nice to have:
- Experience in financial services or capital marketsÂ
- Familiarity with Databricks or SnowflakeÂ
- Experience building: AI copilots, Document intelligence solutionsÂ
- Exposure to AI governance or model risk frameworksÂ
Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office
Minimum Salary:​
zł182,004 Annual
The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
