Senior Financial Analyst – Finance Business Partnering Team
We are seeking a proactive and analytically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Business Partnering team. You'll work closely with Finance Business Partners and business stakeholders to provide high-quality financial insight, reporting and investment governance support that enables informed decision-making and improves organisational performance.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop commercial understanding and business awareness whilst building strong analytical expertise across portfolios.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing financial analysis and insight to support budgeting, forecasting and planning processes

Producing high-quality management information, reporting and dashboards that help stakeholders understand performance and make informed decisions

Analysing financial and operational performance to identify risks and opportunities
-
Supporting the development and review of investment business cases and financial models
-
Coordinating Programme Performance & Change (PPC) activities and maintaining Post Investment Reviews (PIRs)
-
Tracking delivery against approved business case assumptions and benefits.

Building effective relationships with managers, project leads and budget holders to provide financial support and challenge

Identifying opportunities to simplify, and improve finance processes, reporting and management information
What we're looking for you to bring:

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Experience in financial analysis, reporting and performance management

Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight for both financial and non-financial audiences

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Confidence to ask questions and support decision-making

Excellent Excel skills, with Power BI experience desirable

A proactive and curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement

Studying towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
