  • The Role:This internship supports Human-Machine Interface system applications and test bench development using robots and LabVIEW.
  • The Person:The person will optimize robot movements, extend the LabVIEW framework, support 3D fixture design, solder SMD components, and help with lab measurements.
  • Requirements:The ideal candidate has knowledge in working and programming Cobots, path planning and precise movements, 3D design and 3D printing, LabVIEW programming, basic Python, and embedded microcontrollers.

About the role

As a student in Human-Machine Interface (HMI) System Applications, you will be supporting the System Applications Team with different task in developing and optimizing the HMI test bench using 6-axis and 3-axis robots. We are looking for a student in the greater area of Gratkorn/Graz to support our team part-time, in parallel to their studies.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Optimizing movements of the robots with respect to accuracy and execution time

  • Extending the existing framework (LabVIEW) with requested features

  • Supporting the team with 3D design skills for small fixtures

  • Soldering of SMD components

  • Working in a lab environment with lab instruments and support the team on measurements tasks

Your Profile

  • Ongoing studies in a technical field (e.g. Information and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Smart Automation etc.)

  • Knowledge in working and programming Cobots (collaborative Robots)

  • Knowledge of path planning and precise movements

  • Knowledge of 3D design and 3D printing

  • Knowledge in LabVIEW programming

  • Basic knowledge in Python

  • Basic knowledge in embedded microcontrollers is an advantage

  • Good English skills (spoken and written)

  • Valid work authorization required

  • Availability around 20h/week

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
