  • The Role:This role is for a mid-level network engineer supporting operational customers and secure networking systems.
  • The Person:The person will configure systems, support fielding of new gear in person or remotely, handle ongoing networking support, work through JIRA tickets, spend time in the lab on upgrades, and complete SSP compliance work.
  • Requirements:The ideal candidate has six years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, IAT level I baseline certification, Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience, and Cisco ASA Firewall experience.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level network engineer to assist with daily responsibilities on the program. This is a mixed team of 2 Civilian leads and 7 Contractors responsible for 2 unique operational customers networking. The gear is in NBP320 and at remote largely 2nd and 3rd party locations. The team will configure the systems in our contractor building and then support in person or remotely the fielding’s of the new gear. Additionally, you will be responsible for on going Networking support including firewall and Crypto gear. Your primary seat will be in Columbia at our contractor building but you will spend a lot of time in NBP 320 as well. A typical day will start by catching up on the team chat and emails since you left the day before and working through JIRA tickets Often you will also be jumping in the lab and working on new systems and upgrade configs.  Also, a lot of time will be spent on SSP Compliance work.

 

Requirements

Security Clearance:

  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six (6) years of experience providing network engineering support
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline required
  • IAT level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.

Required Skills:

  • Network Engineering experience to meet the years for this LCAT
  • Required to travel occasionally/ as needed to OCONUS locations and be on-call for Operational systems (Once up to speed).
  • Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience.
  • Familiar with Latte ‘Art and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.

Desired Skills:

  • Call Manager experience
  • Cisco ASA Firewall experience
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks, Inventory collection, compliance requirements etc.
  • Experience working in the cloud or with Hyperconverged infrastructure and containerized environments.​

Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
