About the role

We are seeking a Digital Records Assistant for a 6-month temp assignment to support our Ministry Advancement team by helping identify, preserve, and digitize records of enduring value.

Rate: $20.49 – $ 24.11 hourly*
Schedule: Monday-Friday, fulltime in office

Location: Loumour facility, Richmond, VA

In this role, you will review physical and electronic records, determine appropriate retention and preservation needs, convert documents into searchable digital formats, and organize files within SharePoint to ensure accurate storage and easy retrieval. This position plays an important role in safeguarding organizational history and information for future generations.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Ministry Advancement files to determine retention, preservation, and disposition requirements according to organizational records policies.
  • Scan and convert paper records into text-searchable PDF documents using digital imaging equipment.
  • Apply established file naming conventions and quality control standards to digital records.
  • Upload documents to designated SharePoint sites and accurately assign metadata for efficient searchability and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with Archives and Records Management personnel to ensure records are preserved and organized appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive organizational information.

Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least years of related administrative, clerical, and office support experience
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work with digital documents and electronic file management systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes and work effectively in a structured environment.
