What you’ll be doing
You’ll join a Strategy & Growth team and work directly with the insurance Product Teams to help maintain and enhance digital insurance products that support business goals and enable an optimal client experience. You’ll assist the product teams in delivering iterations that address user, client, and business partner needs, with a focus on maximizing value and leveraging a Digital First Strategy. You’ll work on projects that impact our insurance platforms used across CIBC’s channels.
In this role, you’ll help prioritize features and deliverables, and support alignment across business, technology, risk, and governance. You’ll identify and document key processes, and help ensure the team is aligned with the vision for digital insurance product delivery. You’ll also contribute insights on client journeys and the application of AI to improve the digital insurance experience.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

· You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

· You are a university student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics major is an asset, but not required.
· Further clarity on the work location will be provided at the time of your interview. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Co-op positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
· Duration of term: 4 months (May 2026 – Aug 2026)

How you’ll succeed
Support the product team with key deliverables – working with stakeholders, business partners, and analytics to understand the business/user/customer problem and develop a product backlog that solves for user problems, meets business objectives and prioritizes work with the maximum value. Support in determining/analyzing success metrics & benefits.
Identify & document key processes and procedures – working closely with the product team and key stakeholders, serve as process subject matter expert for the assigned product, projects and/or initiatives.
Assist with user stories & product requirement creation – support product team in the development user stories in a collaborative fashion with business system analysts, design, technology teams, lines of business and various members of the product team.
Drive alignment with stakeholders – assist product team in ensuring that we are delivering the right initiatives at the right time and keeping our stakeholders engaged throughout the delivery life-cycle. Understand and support the team in managing competing needs & priorities.
