Your mission
We are seeking a senior Data Platform Engineer to work on the foundational components of our data stack. Our platform processes over 100M events per day and powers a large Redshift warehouse that supports everything from company-wide reporting to document analytics and AB testing.
In this role, you’ll build and maintain reliable ingestion pipelines, ensure our Redshift warehouse performs consistently at scale, deliver high-quality data into our dbt transformation layer, and own the systems that expose data back to the business.
You will work closely with experienced data professionals and data-driven stakeholders to gather complex data and turn it into actionable insights.
The ideal candidate is a highly capable engineer with strong experience in Redshift, Kubernetes, Python, and SQL, and who is confident operating and owning critical applications and infrastructure. Experience with systems of similar scale and complexity is a strong plus.
What you will be working on

Maintain healthy operations of our Redshift and Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, which sit at the foundation of our data delivery.

Oversee the ingestion of terabytes of near-real-time events from our products, backend, and third-party systems - the backbone of our reporting, AB testing, and operational monitoring.

Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues across the organization to set up and maintain data ingestion and infrastructure for our data applications.

Own the ingestion and infrastructure components that power our data applications (Looker, Growthbook, etc.), ensuring reliability, scalability, and self-serve access for internal teams.

Improve the developer experience in and around dbt by building tooling, templates, and CI workflows.

Enhance monitoring and observability of our data pipelines and data at rest.

Shape the next generation of our data platform by identifying gaps, evaluating new technologies, and building capabilities that enable data science, ML, and experimentation at scale.

Extend our reverse ETL capabilities and bring data products closer to customers. Own and operate hybrid data/backend pipelines that automate business-critical processes (e.g., data-driven updates to external systems such as Google Ads).

Partner with analysts and data scientists to ensure they have reliable, well-modeled data
