Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with estimating experience to support quoting, process development, and production planning for aerospace components. This role is critical in ensuring accurate cost estimates, efficient manufacturing processes, and first-time-through product quality.

If you have experience supporting RFQs, cost analysis, and manufacturing planning in a fast-paced environment, this is an opportunity to work on complex components supporting aerospace programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for components and assemblies based on customer drawings, models, and specifications
  • Support and respond to RFQs, including material, labor, inspection, and outside processing costs
  • Create manufacturing routings, process plans, and work instructions
  • Interpret blueprints, CATIA models, and specifications to determine manufacturing requirements
  • Coordinate with suppliers for outside processing (heat treat, coatings, special processes)
  • Partner with production, quality, and engineering to ensure first-time-through product conformity
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate with customers as needed to clarify specifications and resolve issues

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering and/or estimating
  • Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred
  • Strong understanding of RFQs, cost estimating, and process planning
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with outside processing and supplier coordination
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or aerospace quality standards
  • Exposure to CNC machining, composites, or sheet metal manufacturing
