Senior Network Engineer

Our client is a large enterprise telecommunications environment delivering always-on, highly regulated services at national scale. You will join a delivery team responsible for critical network design, implementation and security uplift across complex IP and data centre infrastructure, supporting services where stability, performance and security are non-negotiable.

This is a hands-on senior network role focused on designing, building and improving telco-grade IP networks and related security controls.

What you'll Do:

• Design and implement IP network architecture and routing across complex telco environments
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls and core network services
• Lead troubleshooting across incidents and performance degradation, getting to root cause fast
• Improve network security posture through policy design, firewall configuration, and access control
• Own high-quality documentation, standards, and implementation runbooks
• Partner with delivery teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into workable network designs

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

• Strong telco IP networking experience, including routing fundamentals and protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Experience designing and implementing network architecture and traffic flows, ideally in mobile core or telco core environments
• Exposure to data centre networking such as ACI and/or EVPN-VXLAN
• Strong firewall and security policy experience, ideally with Fortinet, Check Point, and/or F5
• Proven troubleshooting capability across complex, high-availability environments with measurable outcomes
• Relevant certs are valued (eg CCNP/CCIE/CCNA) or equivalent practical experience
