About the role
Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award.  Â
ICF is seeking a ServiceNow Test Engineer to support enterprise ServiceNow delivery efforts with primary focus on a federal program. This role is responsible for helping ensure platform enhancements, workflow updates, and custom applications are thoroughly tested, defect-free, and ready for release in a secure federal environment.Â

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ServiceNow testing activities, including automated and manual test execution, defect tracking, and user acceptance support. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to validate requirements, verify functionality, and confirm that ServiceNow solutions perform as expected across workflows, integrations, and downstream dependencies.Â
Job Location: Remote work is authorized.  Must support US Eastern time zone working hours. Preference to candidates who live in the Washington DC metro area.  Â

What You Will DoÂ

Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for ServiceNow solutionsÂ

Design, maintain, and run automated test suites using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)Â

Perform manual testing of workflows, forms, role behavior, reporting, and platform configurationsÂ

Validate enhancements, bug fixes, and release changes across development, test, and production environmentsÂ

Track defects, support triage, and verify fixes through resolution using ServiceNow Agile Development, Jira or similar toolsÂ
-
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to confirm acceptance criteria and expected outcomesÂ
-
Support testing of workflow updates, access controls, reporting changes, data-related updates, and integrationsÂ
-
Document test plans, test cases, results, and lessons learned in Confluence or similar documentation toolsÂ
-
Support release readiness, test evidence collection, and UAT coordinationÂ

Verify configurations and updates align with security and compliance expectationsÂ

What You Must HaveÂ

Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance as required by federal contractÂ

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineer, Information Technology or a related fieldÂ

3+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or test engineeringÂ

3+ years of experience testing ServiceNow applications or comparable enterprise workflow platformsÂ

3+ years of experience working in Agile delivery environments with user stories and sprint ceremoniesÂ

Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow testing activities, including Automated Test Framework (ATF) or comparable automated testing toolsÂ

Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and UAT testingÂ

Experience using ServiceNow Agile Development or Jira for defect tracking and Confluence for documentationÂ

Ability to write clear test cases, test steps, and defect reports with strong attention to detailÂ

Working knowledge of federal delivery security and compliance-sensitive delivery environmentsÂ

Experience supporting ServiceNow enhancements, releases, or workflow changes in a federal environmentÂ

Familiarity with FedRAMP, security validation, or compliance-focused testing practicesÂ

Experience validating workflow dependencies, data updates, and role-based access behaviorÂ

Exposure to release management, smoke testing, and test evidence collectionÂ

Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and collaboration with analysts and developersÂ

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$67,355.00 - $114,503.00
