The Role:This role is for an apprentice engineer working with building and mechanical systems at an airport.
The Person:The person will operate heating and air conditioning equipment, pumps, air compressors, generators, and fan systems, and carry out other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Requirements:The role requires membership in Local 399’s Engineer Apprentice Program and refers to the Chief Engineer and a Journeyman Operating Engineer.

About the role

Pay: $20.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s
experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Operate under the direction of the Chief Engineer or his/her designee, the Apprentice shall act as an Engineer, except working a shift without at least one Journeyman Operating Engineer present to oversee his/her activities. Such duties include, but are not limited to, operating all heating and air conditioning equipment, pumps, air compressors, generators, fan systems, and other mechanical related equipment. Also, other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

The Apprentice Engineer must be a current member and remain a member of Local 399’s Engineer Apprentice Program.
