  • The Role: A senior analytics professional who translates business requirements into insights, visualizations and automated models for Amazon India Wireless.
  • The Person: The person will translate business requirements into analytics, build insights and visualizations, automate dashboards and processes, collaborate on ML/econometric models, and help scale analytics infrastructure.
  • Requirements: Experience with Excel including VBA and pivot tables, Tableau, Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.

Job Description

As a part of the Amazon India Wireless (Smartphones & Accessories) team, we work on projects to bring science and automation into high impact decisions by leveraging data and technology. In this workstream, we work with a diverse team of Category Managers, Marketing Managers, Economists, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers and Software Development Engineers.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and collaborative. He/she will need to build a strong understanding of different businesses and be able to translate business requirements into analytics which will need to be communicated to business either in the form of insights, visualizations and automated models. The candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity and open to learn different technologies.

Key job responsibilities

1. Understand business requirements, understand what data is needed to solve those requirements, build insights and analytics to answer business queries.
2. Automate repetitive business processes and dashboards.
3. Work with ML and Econometric teams on building models which leverage data to solve important business problems
4. Build and scale the analytics infrastructure

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis
