  • The Role:This role is for an experienced JD Edwards developer supporting ERP systems across An Post’s business areas.
  • The Person:The person will investigate and resolve user issues and defects, turn requirements into specifications, develop and test changes, manage releases, support integrations, coordinate priorities, and help with training and process improvement.
  • Requirements:The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience as a Senior JD Edwards Developer with expertise in FDA, RDA, Business Function (C++), Create E1Pages, CafeOne Framework, Form Extensions, Watchlists, Alerts, and JDE Orchestrator.

About the role

 *This is an evolving and developing role and will change over time.*

Working as part of the Finance Solutions ERP team, you will be reporting to the Global Technology Solution (GTS) ERP Technical Lead and will be required to support the JD Edwards System (ERP) across all the business areas in An Post.

As part of ongoing transformation there will be engagement within the GTS and business teams to help deliver business changing needs by agreeing and developing necessary changes.

Responsibilities

The principal responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Working with Business Support Team to ensure that any issues are being investigated and resolved in a timely fashion. Key involvement in the resolution of high severity user issues and system defects. 
  • Ensure an understanding of user and system requirements that can be transferred into specifications with a view to developing said changes. 
  • Understand how EnterpriseOne works end to end, including: Web / HTML, Enterprise servers, AIS server, Environments and path codes, Security and object access basics.
  • Perform initial/internal developer unit testing followed by a comprehensive system test. 
  • Provide oversight to development partners to ensure consistent coding standards are maintained and documented.
  • Managing and coordinating the release of changes to the relevant testing teams and any subsequent issue resolution.
  • Ability to read, debug and modify existing report and program code to meet requirements.
  • Help coordinate all work priorities, log and maintain issues and new development requests.
  • Lead with any new integrations and improvements to existing, specifically in the use of API calls via Orchestrations and related functionality. 
  • Work closely with the GTS ERP Technical Lead to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhering to defined scope.
  • Assist in training programs, developing materials, and actively participating in both classroom and remote training sessions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of organisational processes and practices.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with An Post internal and external development partners.
  • Demonstrating An Post actions and behaviours in your day-to-day work and addressing behaviour that supports/conflicts with them.

Qualifications

  • You will have a relevant third level degree in a business or related field with 7+ years of experience as a Senior JD Edwards Developer.

  • Technically astute in the following functionalities:

    • JDE Functional and Development: FDA, RDA, Business Function (C++), Create E1Pages, CafeOne Framework, Form Extensions, Watchlists and Alerts.

    • Integrations Experience.

    • JDE Orchestrator: Orchestrations, Service Requests, Rules, Logic extensions, APIs and their practical implementation in integrations with external systems. 

    • Nice to have: Java/Oracle JDeveloper, JIRA, Service Now, ReportsNow Experience.

  • Development and program coding, debugging programs and BSFNs, report writing.

  • Understand different implementation methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile.

  • Deep functional understanding of core JD Edwards modules (e.g. Sales Order Processing, Finance, Procurement)
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines across multiple projects - detail orientated.

  • Autonomy and leadership in achieving successful project delivery.

Salary

Salary range starting from € 61,093. Placement within the range reflects experience, skills, proficiency in the role, and internal alignment. Progression over time is linked to performance, development, and expansion in role scope.
