About the role
ABOUT THE ROLE
ANI Pharmaceuticals’ IT department is seeking a Manager, Network Engineering responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and leading the organization's IT infrastructure and network systems. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This role will be based in an office in Princeton, NJ, with a 3-day per-week office expectation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure Design and Implementation
- Design and deploy scalable and reliable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, and virtualization technologies
- Plan, configure, and install hardware and software to meet organizational needs
Network Design and Maintenance
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN
- Ensure network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues
System Administration
- Administer and maintain operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network and infrastructure from threats
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor infrastructure and network performance using various tools and techniques
- Optimize system and network performance and ensure high availability
Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and procedures
- Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and restoration testing
Technical Support
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and network-related issues
- Assist with escalated help desk tickets and provide timely resolution
Documentation and Reporting
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for network and infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures
- Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and project progress This role may require occasional evening and weekend work to perform maintenance and upgrades. On-call availability may be required for emergency support.
SKILLS
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and network engineering
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent preferred
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and infrastructure technologies
The base salary range for this position is $ $84,906.00 - $155,000; the exact salary depends on various factors such as experience, skills, education, location, competencies and industry-specific knowledge. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a competitive short term incentive program based on performance and company results.
