Azure Cloud Analyst  

We are looking for an eager and motivated Azure Cloud Analyst to join our technology team. This entry-level role is designed for a new graduate ready to build a rewarding career in cloud technology and gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support and enhance core business applications and drive innovation with cloud technologies, gaining valuable exposure to modern cloud architecture and methodologies.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Analyst, you will:  

- Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and secure key Azure services (e.g., compute, storage, and networking).  

- Develop awareness of cloud best practices, while implementing automated solutions to deploy and manage resources in Microsoft Azure.  

- Work on tasks involving Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Bicep to help configure and provision cloud environments.  

- Monitor Azure cloud resources and systems to ensure performance, security, and compliance.  

- Assist in documenting patterns and architectural templates to support application and infrastructure scalability.  

- Shadow senior engineers to troubleshoot issues within the Azure environment.  

- Learn and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for streamlining application and infrastructure updates.  

- Participate in brainstorming and design sessions where you’ll contribute to new cloud initiatives and projects.  

 Your Skills & Qualifications:  

- A recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.  

- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and Microsoft Azure services (e.g., virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, or databases).  

- Hands-on experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript).  

- Familiarity with core IT concepts such as networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security.  

- Passion for technology and a desire to learn new tools, platforms, and methodologies.  

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.  

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with enthusiasm for collaborating in a team environment.  

Nice-to-Have (Learn and Grow Skills):  

- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Azure Bicep).  

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools or pipelines such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.  

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).  

- A basic understanding of container/serverless platforms 

- Experience in cloud monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar tools.

Salary:

$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
