What you'll be doing

Simplii is transforming how millions of Canadians manage their money. We’re building something different—elevating business analysis from projects to products, from backend specs to experiences people love, and from documenting requirements to solving real problems. We need someone who can translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable requirements that enable simple, reliable, and delightful experiences.

As a Business Specialist in our delivery team, you will perform business analysis for a variety of financial products, including chequing, savings, and payments. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, designing and implementing processes, collaborating with your team to deliver effective solutions, and ensuring your work aligns with customer needs and business objectives.

At Simplii we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Support end‑to‑end business analysis activities with clear ownership—turning complex business and client needs into simple, actionable requirements that accelerate delivery. Contribute to shaping intuitive processes by identifying where friction exists today and designing improvements that make banking clearer, faster, and easier for clients and internal teams. Collaborate closely with product, technology, operations, and partner teams to ensure requirements and process designs are aligned, feasible, and grounded in real client and business value.

  • Use structured problem‑solving and modern analysis methods to illuminate root causes, validate assumptions, and create clarity in ambiguous environments. Create high‑quality documentation—requirements, process flows, decision models, artefacts—that helps teams move with confidence and reduces unnecessary complexity. Monitor and assess process performance to uncover improvement opportunities and support continuous optimization across the delivery lifecycle.

  • Apply AI‑enabled tools and practices to improve quality and speed, strengthening analysis discipline and enhancing decision‑making. Evaluate and apply AI tools to enhance analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvement with AI and share insights with the team. Pursue professional development.

  • Deliver High-Quality Business Analysis and Product Delivery: Support requirements gathering, documentation, and process assessment with guidance. Completes assigned tasks accurately and on time.

  • Champion Process Excellence and Best Practices: Learn and apply standard BA methodologies. Follow established processes and seek feedback for improvement.

  • Foster Stakeholder Relationships and Change Adoption: Communicate clearly with stakeholders and participate in meetings. Seek to understand stakeholder needs and support change initiatives.

  • Demonstrate Strategic Business and Technical Acumen: Build foundational understanding of business processes and technical concepts. Ask questions to clarify requirements and analysis.

Who you are

  • A clear, structured communicator who can translate ambiguity into actionable guidance for teams.

  • A systems thinker with strong analytical skills who enjoys untangling complexity and helping design simple, scalable solutions that reduce friction for clients and internal teams.

  • Curious and growth‑minded—open to learning new tools, including AI‑enabled methods, and continuously improving your craft.

  • Your influence makes a difference. You are adept at building strong working relationships, earning trust, and guiding stakeholders toward shared understanding and aligned decisions.

  • Grounded in relevant educational and professional foundations, with post‑secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; relevant certifications are an asset.

  • You can demonstrate experience in business analysis, process engineering, and cross‑functional delivery, with the ability to navigate both business needs and technical considerations.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
