We are looking for a High-Speed Photonic Technology Engineer to join our innovative R&D team and play a key role in developing cutting-edge semiconductor and photonic devices for tomorrow's data communication networks.
In this role, you will contribute your expertise in photonics, RF design, and high-speed data transmission to create technologies that deliver industry-leading performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Working in a collaborative international environment, you will be involved in every stage of technology development, from concept and design through characterization, validation, and manufacturing transfer.
What You'll Do
As a High-Speed Photonic Technology Engineer, you will:
- Drive innovation and contribute to the development of future high-speed communication solutions.
- Design, simulate, characterize, and optimize advanced photonic devices and semiconductor lasers.
- Lead or contribute to R&D projects from early technology development through production transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges related to products and manufacturing processes.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or
- Master's degree combined with at least 3 years of relevant industrial or research experience.
- Strong expertise in RF design and simulations, high-speed data transmission, and photonic technologies.
- Hands-on experience characterizing high-speed photonic devices and semiconductor lasers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the German language.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary R&D environments.
- Experience taking new technologies from concept to manufacturing.
