JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Developer specializing in reusable components, native web components, and modern CSS. This contract role will support our design system initiatives and cross-team UI tooling efforts.

Candidates located in similar time zones (nearshore preferred) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reusable, browser-native web components using Lit and TypeScript
  • Perform integration testing using Playwright
  • Write modern, framework-independent CSS (e.g., Grid, Flexbox, Custom Properties)
  • Work with and understand Shadow DOM constraints, patterns, and capabilities
  • Build and maintain lightweight tools and scripts used across multiple teams
  • Implement and manage design tokens across platforms
  • Contribute to Angular 11+ applications when needed
  • Maintain clean and consistent Git workflows (semantic commits, changelog-friendly practices)
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and provide clear documentation and communication

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in modern CSS (without reliance on frameworks)
  • Experience with native web components and Shadow DOM
  • Proficiency in TypeScript (latest versions)
  • Experience developing tools for multi-team environments
  • Hands-on experience with design tokens and implementation pipelines
  • Strong Node.js scripting skills
  • Familiarity with Git strategies that support automated changelogs
  • Experience with AI-augmented development tools
  • Working knowledge of Angular 11+
  • Experience with Lit / LitElement

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Availability to work in a time zone aligned (or close) to the U.S.
