About the role
Summary: The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of DHC USA’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and enterprise systems. This role ensures system reliability, data security, and operational continuity across all business functions, including distribution (WMS), customer service, and e-commerce platforms.
This position serves as a critical technical bridge between U.S. operations and HQ, supporting system alignment, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

IT Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and optimize core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud environments, and end-user systems
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of all systems
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle planning
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner

Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, policies, and best practices
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and unauthorized access
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards and external regulatory requirements
- Lead incident response efforts and remediation planning
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and user awareness initiatives

User Management & Support
- Oversee user account provisioning, access controls, and permissions across all systems
- Ensure adherence to least-privilege access principles and security policies
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal users
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and user access protocols
Â
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Oversight
- Serve as the primary technical owner of the WMS platform
- Ensure system functionality, uptime, and data integrity across distribution operations
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to optimize system usage and workflows
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or HQ as needed
- Support enhancements, integrations, and upgrades to improve operational efficiency

E-Commerce (EC) Site Support
- Support backend systems that enable e-commerce operations, including order processing and integrations
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and transaction integrity
- Partner with digital, marketing, and operations teams to support campaigns and site changes
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting customer experience
- Ensure alignment between EC systems, inventory, and fulfillment platforms

Cross-Functional & HQ Collaboration
- Act as the primary IT liaison between U.S. operations and HQ technical teams
- Support system alignment, integration, and data consistency across regions
- Communicate system performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership
- Participate in global IT initiatives and standardization efforts

Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and scalability
- Develop and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, systems, and processes
- Recommend and implement new technologies to support business growth
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Cyber Security, System Engineering or similar area of study
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, infrastructure, or related roles
- Experience managing networks, servers, and cloud-based environments
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience supporting WMS and/or ERP systems preferred
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and system integrations is a plus
- Experience working with global teams or Japanese HQ structures preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
