Lead Product Manager, Mobile App
(Hybrid in the UK)

The role
We are seeking an experienced Product Lead to take full ownership of a core strategic initiative: the creation, launch, and scaling of iwoca's dedicated mobile application. This is a foundational leadership role where you will define the future of our customer experience.
As the ultimate champion for the mobile channel, you will:

Define the mobile app vision and strategy, starting with Credit Cards. Ensure the foundational architecture is scalable across all iwoca products.

Build and lead a new, high-performing mobile app development team from the ground up.

Drive Impact by acting with the autonomy of a business owner, directly influencing key metrics like customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
This is a high-profile opportunity to build something enduring and solidify iwoca's position as the leading SME finance provider.
Product strategy & roadmap

Own and champion the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the iwoca mobile app, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs.

Define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and subsequent phases, prioritising features that deliver maximum customer and business value quickly.

Conduct continuous market, competitor, and user research to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the FinTech mobile space.

Establish, track, and relentlessly pursue key product metrics.
Team building & leadership

Design and create the optimal team for mobile app development (iOS, Android, integrating with Backend).

Lead, coach, and mentor the mobile app team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and customer obsession.
Execution & delivery

Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through development, launch, and post-launch optimisation.

Establish and maintain rigorous, real-time monitoring of all core KPIs

Evaluate, onboard, and manage external development agencies or contractors where necessary, ensuring quality, security, and timely delivery.

Work closely with core Product, Compliance, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of the mobile app with existing iwoca platforms and successful Go-To-Market strategies.

Ensure the application adheres to the highest standards of security, regulatory compliance, and performance, leveraging native mobile technologies where appropriate.
The requirements

5+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, with at least 2 years focused specifically on native mobile app development (iOS and/or Android).

Demonstrable experience launching a mobile application from concept to market.

Proven leadership experience in hiring, building, and leading a cross-functional product or engineering team.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics, analyse data, and draw actionable conclusions to drive product decisions.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of presenting complex roadmaps to executive leadership.

A solid technical foundation, enabling productive collaboration with engineers and external technical partners.
Bonus:

Experience in the FinTech or Payments sector is highly advantageous.

Familiarity with scaling mobile apps and maintaining high App Store ratings/reviews.
The salary
We expect to pay from £100,000 - £130,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
