Digital Platform Specialist - RDS.

This role will contribute to the GMD and Mining Business Lines, with stakeholders 
including customers, Lifecycle Manager, internal service sales, service engineering and 
various engineering disciplines. In this role, you will be responsible in delivering remote 
diagnostics services and support product development of ABB service operations.
Reporting to the Digital Platform Operations Manager, you will maintain and enhance 
customer satisfaction by ensuring uninterrupted service operations.

You will be mainly accountable for

• Perform remote diagnostic services for our customers and provide high-end technical support within the service organization as well as cross-department.
• Collect and analyse data and generate reports for remote diagnostic services to ensure uninterrupted operations at customer sites.
• Follow up and track recommended actions with Lifecycle Manager and/or customers and within ABB departments focused on delivering best-in-class services.
• Set up the configuration of remote diagnostic services, in addition to updating and maintaining service and installed base database (related to remote connectivity).
• Assist in the development, documentation, and optimization of ABB service operations processes and help to refine and evolve service offering to best meet customer needs.
• Support Service Product Development and Sales teams to maintain the existing service business and generate opportunities to further grow and expand.

Qualifications for the ro

• B.SC./M. Sc in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• High degree of proficiency in using MS Office, Windows and Ubuntu OS environments. 
• Proficiency in Azure services and architecture. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related issues.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc) and experience with network security practices and technologies.
• Fluent in English, Spanish is an asset
