QA Engineering Manager
About the Role
We're looking for a QA Manager who lives and breathes quality—someone who sees testing not as a gate but as a craft. You'll lead and manage the QA team, own our test automation strategy, and work closely with product, design and engineering to build quality into everything we ship.
What You'll Do
-
Manage, mentor, and grow the QA team—setting priorities, providing feedback, and supporting career development
-
Lead and evolve our test automation framework, with a focus on Playwright
-
Design and implement end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites
-
Champion a strong quality engineering mindset across the organization—shifting quality left and making it everyone's responsibility
-
Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria and testability requirements
-
Identify gaps in test coverage and drive continuous improvement in our testing practices
-
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and release planning
-
Own QA team capacity planning, and team performance
What You Bring
-
Experience managing or leading a QA team, with a track record of developing engineers
-
Strong software engineering skills—you write clean, maintainable test code
-
Deep hands-on experience with Playwright (or similar modern automation tools, but ideally Playwright)
-
A genuine quality engineering mindset: you think about edge cases, failure modes, and user impact instinctively
-
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows
-
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
-
Clear communication—you can explain complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences alike and represent the QA function to leadership
Nice to Have
-
Experience with performance or load testing
-
Background in API testing and contract testing
-
Familiarity with accessibility testing
