Job Description

Context

We are building a secure and scalable analytics capability that enables trusted insights to be exposed consistently across the organisation and into externally consumed experiences. We are looking for a Data Products & Visual Analytics expert.

This role sits within the data team and is responsible for building the data assets, pipelines, and visual analytics that underpin high‑quality, role‑based insight consumption. The focus is on engagement and adoption analytics, delivered through consumer‑grade dashboards backed by governed, well‑structured data.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

1) Data Assets & Secure Analytics Foundations

  • Design, build, and maintain analytics data flows and pipelines within the data team.
  • Create segregated, secure datasets that support role‑based access and downstream consumption.
  • Shape data into curated, consumer‑ready models that power dashboards and reporting.
  • Implement data quality checks and controls so outputs are reliable and trusted.

2) Metrics & Semantic Consistency

  • Define and maintain standard logic for engagement and adoption metrics.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation of metrics across dashboards, views, and audiences.
  • Enable multi‑dimensional analysis.

3) Visual Analytics & Dashboard Delivery

  • Design and deliver high‑quality, visually strong dashboards with a clear UX.
  • Build interactive, intuitive analytics experiences suitable for secure, login‑based access.
  • Apply strong judgement around layout, hierarchy, performance, and usability - treating dashboards as products, not static reports.

4) Cross‑Functional Delivery

  • Work with Technology and Product counterparts to ensure analytics outputs are fit for scalable consumption, aligned to platform and security expectations.
  • Support stakeholders by surfacing insights through dashboards that enable engagement, review, and informed action.
  • Own delivery from data to visualisation, balancing quality, speed, and governance.

Skills & Experience

Data & Engineering

  • Strong SQL and experience building analytics datasets/pipelines end‑to‑end.
  • Comfortable working with cloud data platforms and large, governed datasets (GCP / BigQuery preferred or equivalent).
  • Experience implementing data segregation, access controls, and quality checks.

Visualisation & Analytics Products

  • Strong dashboarding capability with a consumer‑grade mindset.
  • Proven ability to turn complex data into simple, intuitive, interactive visuals.
  • Experience building dashboards intended for reuse and scale, not one‑off analysis.

Delivery & Collaboration

  • Confident operating across data, technology, and product contexts.
  • Strong prioritisation, ownership, and communication skills.

Core Capabilities for Scaled & Secure Analytics

  • Experience delivering role‑based / login‑secured analytics (embedded or portal‑style), including segmentation and entitlement‑aware views.
  • Familiarity with engagement/telemetry datasets and defining adoption metrics.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise sources into analytics‑ready datasets.
  • Dashboarding experience with Power BI and/or Tableau (or comparable platforms).

Qualifications

  • Degree in a numerate or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
