Job Description
As a Merchandising Specialist, you’ll be part of the team that connects millions of shoppers to the trends, brands, and styles they love. You’ll pair data insights with your creative instincts to curate fresh, relevant merchandise stories across our ecosystem. If you’re obsessed with what’s trending, energized by secondhand style, and passionate about making fashion more accessible and fun, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
-
Track what’s trending: Monitor merch performance, identify what’s resonating, and surface opportunities to grow key categories.
-
Build daily fashion moments: Collaborate with the Merchandising team to curate assortments rooted in past performance, emerging trends, and user needs.
-
Own the calendar: Support the development and execution of our merchandising and editorial calendar to keep content timely, relevant, and inspiring.
-
Create for community: Partner with Social Media, Retained Growth, and cross-functional teams to bring merchandise stories to life through engaging, user-forward content.
-
Stay plugged in: Bring your POV on style, culture, and shopping behavior to help us evolve our merchandising strategy.
What We’re Looking For
-
Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or related field (or equivalent experience)
-
1–2 years of experience in e-commerce, marketing, merchandising, or a creative/content-focused role
-
A genuine passion for Poshmark; bonus points if you’re an active buyer or seller who gets the community vibe
-
Strong fashion awareness: you understand the differences between luxury, contemporary, and streetwear labels, and can articulate why certain brands capture cultural relevance.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail
-
Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools and skills
-
Comfort working in spreadsheets; Excel proficiency required
