Job Description:
This position is for a Facilities/Logistics Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA supporting cutting-edge and innovative space programs. The Facilities/Logistics Systems Engineer bridges security compliance with physical facility operations and supply chain management, ensuring secure, compliant transport, storage, and handling unclassified to highly sensitive classified materials. In addition, the candidate selected for the Facilities/Logistics Systems Engineer role will be responsible for coordinating across various locations at government and contractor sites on transport and storage.
Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end transport of unclassified and classified materials, including identifying, packing, shipping, and conducting joint inventories of items.

Conduct audits, inventory reconciliations, and inspections to ensure proper tracking of unclassified to classified assets and materials in accordance with security protocols.

Develop and execute Operations Security (OPSEC) plans, providing oversight for secure logistics and protecting against risks to test and training activities.

Initiate inquiries into potential security incidents (loss or compromise of classified information), conduct investigations, and generate damage assessment reports
