  • The Role: Provides one-to-one respite care for children with special health care needs by implementing family-directed safety and service plans.
  • The Person: Provide on-call one-to-one direct care and socialization, perform self-care tasks for supported children, transport to approved activities, and submit timely documentation per the safety and service plan.
  • Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, valid Driver’s License with good driving record, ability to work with minimal supervision, and provide required documentation to a coordinator.

Up to $1000 New Hire Sign-on Bonus 

Rate of pay:  $19.00 per hour

 

The Respite worker provides families of children with special health care needs a relief from their responsibilities by providing one to one direct care for their child within or outside the home by implementing a safety and service plan. All duties will vary depending on the specific needs of each child.   Parent/caretaker will provide all training specific to their child. Safety plan must be reviewed and implemented when necessary. Responsibilities

  • Provide ON CALL safe one to one direct care per the plan for children with special health care needs as directed by parents/caretakers.
  • Provide socialization opportunities within home and/or outside of home when appropriate.
  • Perform all necessary self-care tasks as needed by the individual supported.
  • Provide transportation to and from all social activities only as approved by parent/caretaker.
  • Provide required documentation to coordinator in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • 18+ years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Per State regulations, qualifications determined by individual family
