QA Automation Engineer

We’re hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join a fast-growing Canadian fintech company building modern mortgage platforms that streamline how brokers and clients connect, transact, and manage the entire financing experience. The organization is actively evolving its engineering practices, with quality embedded throughout the development lifecycle. 

In this role, you’ll lead automation efforts and help ensure consistent, high-quality releases across a growing platform. You’ll contribute to building and scaling automation across UI, API, and microservices layers within a cloud-based environment.

Requirements

 What You’ll Do 

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and microservices testing  
• Lead end-to-end testing strategies across functional, regression, and release cycles 
• Develop automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Postman  
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps  
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure quality across all releases  
• Own defect lifecycle management, from identification to resolution  
• Define automation roadmaps and identify opportunities to improve test coverage  
• Communicate test progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders 

 What We’re Looking For 

• 5+ years of experience in QA and software testing with 3+ years in QA automation engineering  
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, Postman, and .NET-based testing  
• Strong experience testing REST APIs and microservices architectures  
• Familiarity with Angular and .NET Core applications  
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines  
• Solid understanding of SDLC, test strategies, and defect management  
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills  

Nice to have: 

• Experience in fintech, mortgage, or regulated industries  
• Exposure to compliance, risk, or audit-driven environments

Benefits

• Base Salary: $80,000 – 120,000
