Lamboo Medical is seeking an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to support engineering, product development, and manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving integrated electromechanical systems that enhance product performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement mechatronic systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software components
  • Support the development, testing, and validation of medical devices, prototypes, and automated production equipment
  • Create engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Develop and troubleshoot control systems, sensors, actuators, robotics, motion control systems, and automated equipment
  • Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, industrial controllers, and automation systems
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support product development and process improvement initiatives
  • Analyze equipment and product performance data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, quality, and reliability
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to verify system performance, functionality, and compliance requirements
  • Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and qualification activities
  • Participate in risk assessments, FMEAs, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness
  • Manage multiple engineering projects while providing status updates and technical guidance to stakeholders
  • Support supplier evaluations and technical reviews as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience within manufacturing, automation, industrial, medical device, or related environments
  • Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, sensors, motors, actuators, and industrial control technologies
  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation controls
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical device industry or another regulated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, and Design Control requirements
  • Experience with robotics, machine vision systems, and automated assembly equipment
  • Familiarity with validation protocols such as IQ, OQ, and PQ
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification or progress toward certification
  • Strong understanding of integrated mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Experience leading engineering projects from concept through implementation
  • Exceptional documentation, organizational, and technical communication skills
