Embedded Linux Software Engineer – R&D

Permanent hybrid role based in Carrigtwohill, Cork

What you will do:

• Develop applications and libraries in C/C++
• Develop user interfaces using Qt
• Enable communication between embedded devices
• Support hardware-software integration and system-level debugging
• Test and troubleshoot deployed applications

Key Skills:

• C/C++
• QT / QML
• Linux
• GDB, Git, Bash, Shell, Python, CMake
• hardware-communication protocols and interfaces including TCP/IP and USB
• hardware-software integration
• Familiarity with low-level embedded systems, Yocto Project and IEC 62304 an advantage!

What you need:

• Must have a minimum of a Degree (level 8) in a suitable subject (e.g. Computer Science / Software Engineering) or equivalent technical background
• An infectious enthusiasm for problem solving and doing work that makes a real difference

This role may be suitable for candidates with experience in the following roles or similar:

• Embedded Software Engineering
• Linux Engineer
• Firmware Engineer
• Embedded Systems Developer
• Real Time Embedded Engineer

Ireland Pay Ranges:

• Ireland: €51,000 - €86,000 EUR Annual
