Position: Software Development Specialist

Role Overview

A Senior Software Developer is required to provide technical
leadership, design expertise, development, implementation, and ongoing support
for enterprise applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in
modernizing and enhancing business-critical solutions while ensuring alignment
with organizational standards, security requirements, and long-term technology
strategies.

The role involves leading technical initiatives through the
full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), collaborating with business
stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and
delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide
  senior technical expertise, project leadership, and coordination of
  activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of
  enterprise solutions.
• Lead
  the analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, integration, and
  deployment of application solutions.
• Translate
  business requirements into technical specifications and implementation
  plans.
• Provide
  technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders to support business
  goals and objectives.
• Conduct
  feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses for
  proposed initiatives.
• Lead
  technical resources through all stages of the SDLC, including planning,
  scheduling, estimating, monitoring progress, and reporting project status.
• Design
  and develop complex applications utilizing relational and
  multi-dimensional databases.
• Support
  implementation activities and provide post-implementation support as
  required.
• Evaluate
  software, hardware, tools, technologies, and integration approaches.
• Establish
  and improve development standards, quality controls, and performance
  metrics.
• Mentor
  and provide guidance to junior technical team members.
• Develop
  and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, operational
  procedures, and build documentation.
• Collaborate
  with business analysts, stakeholders, and project teams to define and
  deliver business solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong
  experience with enterprise application architecture, design, and
  development.
• Experience
  with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge
  of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), microservices, and web services
  (REST, JSON, AJAX).
• Experience
  developing web applications using:
• JavaScript
• TypeScript
• HTML5
• CSS
• Experience
  with:
• Python
• VBA
• .NET
• C++
• C#
• SQL
• SDK-based
  development
• Experience
  working with relational and multi-dimensional databases.
• Experience
  supporting application deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and
  incident management.
• Knowledge
  of Information Management principles, standards, and best practices.

• Experience
  communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proven
  ability to build consensus and resolve competing priorities.
• Strong
  stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Experience
  working closely with business analysts, project managers, and technical
  teams.

  documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.

Asset Qualifications

• Experience
  with cloud-based solution deployments.
• Experience
  supporting large-scale enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
• Previous
  experience working within a public sector environment.

Work Environment

• Hybrid
  onsite work arrangement in Toronto.
• Successful
  candidate is expected to work continuously for the duration of the
  assignment.
