Job Description

We are looking for a Senior or Mid Software Engineer to join our R&D team and take ownership of existing device programming tools used in automotive environments. A key aspect of this role is experience with device communication or firmware programming tools, as the software directly interacts with hardware devices for firmware flashing, updating, and configuration.

The main goal of this position is to take over and modernize existing device programming tools (“loaders”) originally developed in Delphi 7, migrating them to the C# / .NET platform. These applications are used to program, update, and configure automotive device firmware while ensuring reliable communication with devices through various interfaces. The objective is to build a clear, maintainable, and scalable architecture suitable for long-term development.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of existing device programming tools used to configure and update hardware devices.
  • Lead the migration of legacy Delphi-based tools to a modern C# / .NET architecture.
  • Design and maintain software responsible for device communication, firmware programming, and configuration workflows.
  • Implement and maintain communication layers for hardware devices using interfaces such as Serial (COM) and USB.
  • Analyze and refactor existing codebases to create clear, maintainable, and scalable architecture.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues related to device communication, firmware updates, and hardware interaction.
  • Work closely with firmware, hardware, and R&D engineers to ensure reliable device programming and diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with C# / .NET.
  • Experience developing Windows desktop applications.
  • Experience taking over and refactoring legacy systems.
  • Understanding of device communication via Serial (COM), USB, or similar interfaces.
  • Experience working with low-level data structures (binary data, bit masks, flags, registers).
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and make independent technical decisions.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Pascal / Delphi.
  • Experience working with hardware devices or firmware programming tools.

Benefits

  • Opportunities to grow in a strong and rapidly expanding international company.
  • Exposure to complex, industrial-grade security systems and ambitious technical projects.
  • A culture where curiosity and knowledge-sharing are core values.
  • The opportunity to grow, create, and improve together with the team and the company's development.
  • The opportunity to realize your potential, learn, and play a significant role in creating new products.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work options.
  • Company-paid sports activities (basketball, football, volleyball, yoga) and other sports initiatives.
  • Team events, summer festivals, and regular team-building activities.
  • Additional bonuses through the employee recommendation program.
  • Birthday gifts and rewards for work anniversaries.

Salary

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experience, therefore we offer an attractive salary aligned with your skillset and expertise.

The salary for this position ranges from 20 EUR/h up to 28 EUR/h (~3337 EUR – ~4670 EUR) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise.

In the employment agreement we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
