Mfg Engineer, Entry: our view in 3 lines...

  • The Role: An entry-level manufacturing engineer role supporting product testing, new product introduction, and manufacturing quality for electronic products across communications and semiconductor markets.
  • The Person: Manage and improve product testing processes and equipment, support new product introduction and tester setup, perform PCA failure analysis and root-cause investigations, and work with suppliers to resolve quality and delivery issues.
  • Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering and knowledge in nanotechnology is a bonus.

Responsibilities

- Manage, maintain and improve product testing processes and equipment to ensure products meet specifications.
- Work with supply chain partners for cost reduction, upgrades or new technological opportunities.
- Carry out new product introduction, product transfer or tester setup/duplication, and support prototype and reliability testing.
- Perform root-cause analysis and liase with counterparts to resolve quality issues within targeted time frame, and fulfill customer's satisfaction.
- Ensure product manufacturing complies to business requirements; including product lifecycle.
- Work with strategic suppliers and/or material engineering on component quality, cost and delivery of parts.
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on printed circuit board (PCA) failures to improve incoming PCA quality and reduce turn-around time of nonconforming material inventory.

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's/Master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering. Knowledge in nanotechnology is a bonus.
No prior work experience necessary but will be an added advantage.
