- The Role:This role is for a senior data engineer on JPMorganChase’s External Reporting and Finance Control team within Corporate Technology.
- The Person:The person will design and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and architectures, review data controls, update data models, and make custom configuration changes in tools.
- Requirements:The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL use cases, advanced SQL, a working understanding of NoSQL databases such as Mongo, and hands on experience in Pyspark, Databricks, and AWS Services.

Job responsibilities
- Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
- Advises and makes custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request
- Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases
- Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases and their niche in the marketplace
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL use cases
- Experience across the data lifecycle
- Advanced at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)
- Working understanding of NoSQL databases such as Mongo
- Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform analysis
- Experience customizing changes in a tool to generate product

Hands on experience in Pyspark and Databricks and AWS Services such as ECS, Lambdas and EKS services.

Exposure to Java and Mongo is a plus.
