About the role
Supports and promotes goals and objectives of the Department of Radiology and Mayo Clinic. Is responsible for providing customer service internal and external to Mayo Clinic, including physicians, allied health staff and medical center personnel. Performs work activities related to Radiology Data Management and Archive area, including film management, electronic image media creation, film digitization, electronic image transfer, quality assurance and corrections. Facilitates and enhances the reading room work environment by improving workflow and reducing interruption to increase efficiency, safety and productivity. Assists in managing patient priority and flow of information to and from the Radiologist, enabling timely results to ancillary departments and care providers. Is responsible for taking positive action in problem solving and working with various computer systems. Requires positive communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to customer service, demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team environment, flexibility and the ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. Understands and adapts to changes in procedures easily and supportively. Rotates through areas on a scheduled basis. Ability to problem-solve, organize and process information with speed and accuracy. Maintains excellent attendance.
