The Person:The person will evaluate LBS providers and methodologies, assess data quality and analytical capabilities, analyze visitor patterns, identify data gaps, develop reports and recommendations, and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements:The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Geography, GIS, Statistics, Planning, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, mobility data, GIS, or data assessment.

BVA Bear’s IT Solutions is seeking a part-time Senior Data Analytics & Location-Based Services (LBS) Lead.
This role Leads evaluation of LBS data, analytical methodologies, provider comparisons, data integration opportunities, and development of data-driven recommendations supporting visitor-use management and strategic decision-making. The location of this position, when needed on-site, is Harrisburg, PA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Evaluate multiple LBS providers and methodologies
- Assess data quality, coverage, accuracy, and analytical capabilities
- Analyze visitor origins, travel patterns, dwell times, and visitation trends
- Support development of case studies and comparative assessments
- Identify data gaps and integration opportunities
- Develop analytical reports, findings, and recommendations
- Support economic, recreation, and operational analyses
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Required Qualifications-

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Geography, GIS, Statistics, Planning, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, mobility data, GIS, or data assessment
- Experience evaluating large datasets and analytical methodologies
- Strong reporting, visualization, and communication skills
- Experience supporting public-sector or consulting engagements preferred
