The Role:This role supports cancer registry data management for newly diagnosed cancer cases in a healthcare setting.
The Person:The person will abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases, assist with case identification, and perform quality control procedures on data.
Requirements:The ideal candidate has college level curriculum in cancer data management or equivalent education and experience, National Oncology Data Specialist certification, and preferred experience with cancer registry software such as ONCOLog.

Required Qualifications:

College level curriculum in cancer data management or equivalent education/experience
Upon hire: National Oncology Data Specialist - National Cancer Registrars Association

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree
Coursework/Training: Anatomy & Physiology coursework or completing courses
Experience abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases
Experience working in an ACoS approved Cancer Registry
Using Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
